Due to the last occupier gaining promotion our clients have informed us that they require a , enthusiastic, committed , well motivated fully qualified social work to join a experienced and friendly team within their child protection team.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake statutory child core work, you will also be dealing with child protection, court proceedings , including initial reports , assessments and reviews. As well as these tasks applicants will be needed to work closely with other in house teams such as looked after children and children in need. May be required to work with different agencies.

Three major attributes the client is looking for are flexibility, a sense of responsibility and a ability to juggle tasks. Knowledge and understanding of child protection issues and the ability to deal with complex cases are paramount in the position. Must have a full social work qualification which could include a DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent. Due to current laws and legislation in the UK all applicants must hold a full and valid GSCC, SSSC, CCW registration or at least be in the process of obtaining one.

Please not Applicants are most likely to be subject to CRB checks.

This is initially a 3 month Contract position however there is extension or even extension or even permanence dependant on the progression of the employee. The pay rate is depending on previous experience and with minor negotiations possible.
