The Epiphone Flying V is the pinnacle of musical creation, and this model is no different. Many musical heroes have failed to withstand the V's incredible tone and artistic shape, but rather embraced it as their own -most notably Jimi Hendrix (abandoning his iconic Stratocaster later in his career and harnessing the V's ability and mixing it with his own), Kirk Hammett (capable of creating masterpieces such as One or Master Of Puppets on this beast), Rhandy Rhoads, Zakk Wylde and the list goes on...

The guitar is in an Alpine White finish (almost relating to Hendrix's style of guitar) with twenty-two frets for the high-squealing notes. Every ringing barre chord to screeching solo is amplified through the Twin Humbucker pick-ups (each controlled with a flip of the centre switch.) This axe is capable of playing with the subtleness of Clapton to the brutality of Kerry King (with the addition of distortion of course). This makes the V a very versatile and flexible instrument, willing to bend it's tone to the players will whilst maintaining its uniqueness.

I bought this axe brand new back in 98', since then it has been treated with care being the number one priority (alongside unleashing music). It would be cleaned only with safe guitar-friendly polish (to protect the finish and electronics) and to maintain the guitars brand new feel. Since I domed it a sin to allow it to collect a spec of dust or a scratch, it has been safely contained in the damage-absorbant hard case, protected by the inside padding.

The photos themselves are far from doing this instrument any justice, you can only truly experience and appreciate this work of art up close and in the flesh. This six-string has brought me so much joy over the years, and its made me feel as a God - so I thought it only right to extend the same courtesy.

Even though this seems very minor, there is a small mark which measures precisely at 3mm on the edge of the headstock, which to be honest is barely noticeable unless inspected up-close. Aside from that, the guitar maintains its brand-new quality which, even to this day, continues to impress me and some of the professional guitarists I've encountered.

The guitar has been recently fitted with Ernie Ball custom gauge Super Slinky stainless steel strings (11 - 48), though I have thrown in an extra set of the same kind as a spare. The hard case has a few bumps however, this is expected due to the case absorbing any damage whilst hugging the guitar in padding and keeping it from harm.

I really hope this guitar will bring you as much happiness as it has done for me, though one thing I know is certain, it will most definately show its ancestral legacy, massively enhancing your playing ability. If your a fan of truly unleashing your musical potential, then this instrument is definately for you. Treat yourself, and make this axe become a part of your guitar playing repertoire.
