An excellent opportunity has become available for a Sociology Teacher to join this thriving and dynamic school in Ilford, who are at the forefront of innovation and development.

The position is available for 2 terms from January 2010 to cover a maternity leave.

The successful applicant will be well qualified, be able to teach English through all the Key Stages, including A’ Level, have a passion for teaching and learning and be an effective team player who has the ability to make a positive contribution to the department.

The school is a multi cultural, mixed comprehensive, with around 1300 students, aged 11-18. The school boasts excellent examination results and an outstanding curriculum experience. In October 2006 Ofsted described the school as ‘outstanding’ in all categories. It is also a Technology College and Training School.

As a member of staff you will work in a supportive environment when staff contributions are really valued and training is at the heart of what the school believes is important. All teaching staff have laptops and access to their virtual learning environment.
