A school in Essex are looking to appoint a teacher of maths to join them in January 2010. This position is to teach maths to key stages 3 and 4.

The school are looking for a teacher who can ensure all students meet their potential at GCSE and also A’Level. Good subject knowledge and a passion for teaching would be ideal for this teaching role.

The school is a mixed comprehensive with outstanding facilities. They have high quality and dedicated staff that has high expectations of their students whatever their ability. There have been new facilities at the school including a purpose-built Arts Centre, a floodlit all-weather hockey pitch, a Science and Technology Centre, a Sixth Form Centre and most recently a splendid new Sports Hall.

The school is in a large village located in northern Essex and benefits from a good train service to London Liverpool Street and is therefore popular with commuters.

Candidates must be fully qualified UK teachers, or if from overseas, should hold a generally recognised teaching qualification from the country in which they trained.

Applicants with a degree are preferred but overseas diploma and certified teachers are encouraged to apply.
