A East London / East Essex Secondary School requires a teacher of English to teach Key Stages 3 and 4, to start with them in January 2010. the ability to teach to KS5 would be beneficial, however not essential.

It is essential that the teacher has excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching. The school is a secondary mixed comprehensive with an average size student population. They achieve results higher than the national average and as a teacher at the school it would be vital that the high standards are maintained and the department continues to improve.

Applicants will need to be required to be qualified UK teachers, if from overseas a generally recognised teaching qualification from their trained country will be required.

A related degree would be ideal for this position.
