Hi, I am a 28 year old guitarist and/or bassist wanting to join or form a band, I would personally say I am of average ability but that’s not down to me to decide surely?! I am, however, normally quick to pick things up, I’m looking to get back into a band/jamming/working with other musicians type of situation after far too long of being a "bedroom player"

If you are a professional musician with nothing more than playing gigs and making it huge on your mind then you’re probably better to look for someone else. I'd like to start a small, modest band/collective with chilled out people that are looking to get together for jams, write a few songs and have a laugh, people who would become my friends as well as fellow musicians, go to a few gigs, meet up for drinks, whatever anyone fancies and seeing where we end up!

I believe music should be fun and you shouldn’t take yourselves too seriously, get together for a jam, write some songs and see what happens from there! Who knows where it’ll take you?! Basically have fun with it!

My main influences would be around the hard rock / grunge / indie sort of vibe including bands such as

Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Subways, Therapy?, Deftones, Biffy Clyro, Neil Young, Brand New, Cold, Gaslight Anthem, Slaves To Gravity, Seether, The Used, also some slower more dancier/mellow stuff (think trip hop Bands, think Bloc Party! Even a bit of acoustic/folky chewing on a piece of hay moments)

Really, what moves me musically is far too wide a spectrum to sit here listing all day

I am always willing and eager to try anything really, I’m just happy to be playing/writing music!

I have quite a few rough songs (some of which I’m currently trying to record to an acceptable standard on a mini 4-track) and a pretty much constant supply of inspiration and fresh ideas ready to go and waiting to be built up!

Now the bad bits (in some eyes anyway.....) well, there is just one bad bit really, I am willing to travel a reasonable distance but don’t drive which kind of makes moving my amps and equipment about difficult (guitars go in the case and strapped to my back easy peasy!) That’s it! Bad point done!
