We require a non smoking responsible aupair with a mature attitude and good standard of English who will fit into our schedule as you will have the sole care of our six month old son during the day as we both work. You will have 6 evenings and every weekend free unless pre-booked with you in advance – all babysitting will receive an additional payment. . Our son is good natured and rarely grumpy; he likes playing with his toys, singing and being read to. He is very attentive and interested in the world around him and is happy to share smiles and laughs with everyone.

The following is a list of the general duties that are required of you: prepare meals/snacks which at the moment is bottle feeding and weaning onto solid foods, bathing him, changing him when wet/dirty, washing and ironing clothes and bedding, tidying his room, stimulating his development with play – fun games, reading, etc, taking to appointments, attending mother/carers and baby groups.. However this is not an exhaustive list and we would hope that you would be prepared to be flexible and take on additional tasks if required, we are prepared to give and take as well.

The household duties are mainly weekly, so in addition to looking after our son, you tidy up after yourself – including your room, and do some light housework the majority which is a weekly clean, very few are daily, these include for example – sweep and mop/vacuum flooring, dust fixtures and fittings, load/unload dishwasher, etc.

We will make you welcome in our home where you will have room and board - access to all the facilities – living area (cable tv, internet/wireless broadband, landline phone (all calls to be paid for separately), -kitchen, bathroom, etc. You will be part of our family who will be included in our activities e.g. eat with us and/or prepare your own meals, attend day trips/weekend aways if you wish. You will have your own furnished room (including tv) and use of a mobile phone for the duration of your stay with us.

We are looking for someone who has experience with children preferably this age group (under one) and who can stay a minimum of 6 months.
Please do not reply if you do not fit the criteria of experience or length of stay. We will not consider someone who has no relevant experience, is looking for a summer job or smokes.
