Hotel Sales Manager up to £30,000
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced SALES MANAGER for our clients Kensington, London property. This is a full-time and permanent role and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, result driven individual.
As SALES MANAGER, your primary focus will be to maximise all sales opportunities through a structured and pro-active approach. Working with the General Manager and Reservations Manager, you will play a key role to ensure the hotel operates to the highest occupancy levels without compromise on yield. You will develop business through all revenue streams and manage and develop new and existing accounts through the development of strategic action plans.
Key Responsibilities include:
Researching and cold calling new corporate and conference clients to generate business
Visiting local footprint and gathering information and new leads
Competitor activity analysis
Maintaining relationships with existing corporate clients and consortia and analyzing their business levels
Corporate entertainment, site inspections and famils
Rate negotiation, contracting and solicitation with key corporate and consortia
Data Base management
Account management of third party internet websites including marketing activities and tactical etc
Attendance at key exhibitions, conferences & networking events
Key Requirements include:
Four or Five Star Hotel Room Sales experience, in the London market.
Strong influencing and communication skills
An expert ability to ‘close’ a sale
Excellent revenue and yield skills with analytical nature
Excellent organizational and administrative skills
Aptitude to ensure that the department runs smoothly at all times
Highly customer focused and good communication skills
Reliable, dependable and committed with a solid work history
Ability to be self motivated and demonstrate initiative is vital
Excellent business acumen and experience in report writing
Self motivated and result driven individual
Familiarity with GDS systems
Previous working knowledge of working with Sales & Marketing plans and assist budget preparations
Good knowledge of MS-Office applications such as Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook etc
Working knowledge of Opera PMS
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone wishing to join a hotel which has an exciting vision. The hotel a proposed refurbishment which is to commence next year which will re position the hotel into the four star deluxe market.
The hotel has 90 bedrooms including executive rooms and suites, a small Meeting and Events operation, Bar, Lounge, and a 90 cover restaurant.
