We are currently seeking a qualified English Teacher for a school in Colchester. This is a long-term position starting in September, possibly becoming permanent for the right candidate.

You will need:

. Sound knowledge of teaching subject
• Interest in professional development
• Ability to communicate with adults and children
• To be able to encourage and be sympathetic where appropriate to pupils
• The ability to work under direction from HOD/Pastoral Head
• The ability to work effectively within a team
• Good organisation skills contributing positively to departmental and school
improvement
• Experience of word processing, desktop publishing and Excel
• Ability to use own initiative
• Ability to work under pressure, to be flexible and responsive
• Be able to maintain a sense of humour when everyone else has lost theirs
