We are looking for a Traffic Technician to join our client’s Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) team. Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) is an integral part of our clients business and deals with all aspects of traffic monitoring and control including all new technologies such as:-
• Journey time reliability,
• Congestion management,
• ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition),
• CCTV (Closed Circuit TV),
• VMS (Variable Message Signs),
• UTMC (Urban Traffic Management and Control),
• Traffic signal feasibility, design, installation and commissioning
• Car park guidance.
You will be able to develop your career within the broad business using the in-house and on-line training packages. Day release training opportunities can also be offered to appropriate candidates.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with:
• The collection & analysis of traffic data
• The production of transportation reports
• Traffic signal design & installation
• Design & installation of Intelligent Transport Systems
• The development of CCTV
• The development of traffic information systems
You will be educated to A Levels (or equivalent), be computer literate with experience of excel & word, have a full driving license and be given full specialist on job training
